Ponies in a highschool: Twilight Sparkle?
Finally! Last one of the original main 6, twilight sparkle! orrr, maybe not! in this setting, twilight sparkle *is* luna! the whole nightmare moon thing still happened, (although luna and celestia are just unicorns, as those are much more rare in this setting), but when celestia felt guilty and brought her sister back, she wiped her memories and locked away most of her power, changing her into her naïve, weakened, socially inept form of twilight sparkle.
Twilight is full of evil magical potential, but also love and a willingness to learn! she actually wants to make friends, but has been living with celestia in an empty school since she was brought back. she'd be the main spark of mystery and wonder in the series, and probably the catalyst of a lot of stuff. pinkie would be a good glue to stick the group together, but twilight would probably be the one to try to get people to give pinky a chance. oh! and a simple toy feature- clear plastic in their horns so you can put a light bulb in them so you press a button and bwoosh! magic glowy!
