Malak's family is an immigrant household that established themselves
in the new country.
Malak's parents (back) own a business (I was thinking an arcade), and they want
their three sons to be successful people too after their own parents "did
the good struggle" to support their households. Malak has since
moved out into an apartment, having a man and a woman (hint: Andre and Andi)
move in as well after his last roomie left for greener hills.
Malak (center) is a pencil-pusher: a tech support lackey at an Internet firm
located in a business park. Sure, the job pays alright, but his soul
is starting to be burned-out after months of bullying customers
and office politics. He wonders if the job itself is terrible, or
if it's his own mind. "Do my parents see me as successful
despite not owning a business like they do?" "Is my business degree
getting me where I want in life?" "Am I enough?" "Can I make this
job work, or do I need to find something else?" "And what is that something
else?"
Luckily, he has the weekends to blow off steam. That's great,
but why is his...boss suddenly being so...off at times? Why
does he keep pushing Malak to join a "club" that he's found
himself...really invested in?
