Bears are so hard to draw and distinguish from Canines I find. You did a nice (first?) attempt! ^_^
I'm still coming into myself to try to find a maintainable drawing style. The hardest thing I'm learning to do is figuring out a head style that allows me to maintain the same 'look' as the head rotates. Side views, quarter views, and full frontal views are not easy to maintain integrity with.
I love when ladies submit (art, that is!). Later Aemi!

Aww, do I come across as serious all the time?... :')
Of course I like him! He's not completely like me, but he's a good start! (I know I CAN be that serious on certain days...)
Not being a critic, but this picture makes him look like an urban wizard. Like a dark Harry Potter in an urban World of Darkness setting. He looks too formal, too serious, too deadly professional.
This picture looks like if I were to dress up in preparation for some serious fight, and I'm wearing a typical anime-style professional nerd outfit. Turtle-necks?! >_<
I love the scruff, the glasses, the fact you listened and gave him green-based hazel eyes. I love you can tell that it's a bear, his naturally messy hair, and his whole overall look.
I'm just surprised you went ahead and made a bear character. That kinda floored me! It's really cool, and mebbe exciting, although I'm scared to think of what I'd come across if I were used in a comic strip. Eh?... :3
I'd be more than happy to break myself down in an easy-to-read psychological portfolio, with a few major nuances explained in detail as to why and how I approach and think on my personality and emotional expressions.
Mmm, if you want all that jazz. Otherwise I can trust you to base everything about me on my guarded exterior and restrained attitude. Or my incredibly goofy, kid side that I was more than happy to express at West Ed. Mall when we went swimmin'.
Hope to see more bear pictures, especially if they represent me!
I'ma BEAR! RAWR!!! <3
Yay, thanks Aemi!

Nothing wrong with turtle necks! I even wore one a few times when I was in High School! n_n'''
It's just, well, I guess I'm not up to date with Fall Fashion, am I? :P
I'd love to see you play around with this idea some more Aemi, it's awesomely cool!
And uh, what 'uniform' are you referring to? I can totally pull of a Japanese School Girl Uniform, though I might not be able to maintain a serious attitude while it's on. Flirtation Powers Activate!
What inspired the staff?
It's actual factual fact that I play with my 6 foot staves at home, and at work (ALL my old jobs, and current) I still spin and twirl brooms, shovels, sticks, etc.. It's kind of how I express my happiness or boredom. Spinning is like wagging a tail for me I guess.
Actually, the staff reminded me back when I was a young teen, when Sailor Moon came out on YTVs 'The Zone'. I always thought it'd be cool if there were male Sailor Scouts. I wanted to be the Male Sailor Pluto, before I eventually discovered that the last three planets already had female characters in development.
Your staff design with it's red orb reminded me of my Dark Pluto Powers that I would have had.
I had a devoted crush to Sailor Mercury back then. I had this fantasy that if I were in an anime, these Sailor Scouts would come locate me, inform me of my own hidden powers, then whisk me away to help them 'save the day!'.
/sigh... n_n

the staff was inspired from a few other staff pics i found while looking for a pose. The uniform is a mission outfit that a few of my characters have. Basically a high neck short sleeved black shirt, (or no sleeve in the case of one character as he hates sleeves when hes fighting) combined with camo cargos. would look KILLER on you.
I think I may try to make one pic look super cute. I love the style for this bear and I dont want to change it much but the outfit and the expression needs altering. Im thinking of adding a bit of what i did with another character of mine and enlarging the eyes for a more adorable look.

Awesome-sauce!
It's funny how uniforms make people with no natural style seem to come together into a nice neat efficient package. Uniforms are schmexy. I know I look decent in a uniform in real life. Except Sea Cadet hats. Guh, those things are FUGLY.
I like comfortable clothes when I'm just being me. When it's time to do something like a Mike Rowe's dirty job, I gear up hardcore.
Capes, suits, etc., anything is fine as long as it has the element of practicality in it. Optional and extra accessory items, like frilly necks and collars, ribbons, bells and shiny doo-dads, and impractacle fashion elements are something I religiously tend to avoid.
The most jewelry I wear at once is a simple necklace (like my Native American Bear Claw Necklace), and maybe MAYBE a gold ring on my right hand if I'm dressing fancy when going out.
Oops. My nipple piercing doesn't count as jewelry! It's become a part of me.
I'm coloring a Halloween themed doodle that I drew at work for today, before I leave to Pinscher Creek. Gotta visit my Grandma with my mum for a few days.
On my time down there I'm planning on making another Halloween themed picture or two. Yeah, I'm loving this scanner I bought, worth more than the $50 I paid for it.
Soon I shall become a well-paid web comic artist, who wakes up each morning to do his Tai-Chi and enjoy a nice relaxing brunch of poached eggs and toast before lazily drawing away the afternoon. Yes. Living the Dream. :D
