So I saw this funneh youtube clip a few months ago. A fur's 30th b-day. In honor of it, his friends - everyone in full suit - pied him 30 times.
There's more than a few videos on there of a similar nature, from what I can tell. Someone wants to celebrate their birfday with a food fight or being pied (insert number here) times or some such.
I was inspired. >:3
Sooo I came up with a squirrel. Carrick decided he wanted something like that for his birthday (I think he turned seven). So he tells his buddy Jack (the chocolate lab) about it. And Jack gets the help of his dadoo, who happily contributes some surplus stock from the greasy spoon he owns and operates, and otherwise sets the whole thing up.
And so, Carrick, as part of his bee-day, spends part of the evening with his buddy Jack and they take turns gunging each other silleh. :D
Did a few sketches all at once back in June of this idea. Decided to take this one all the way to its' conclusion. Why? Because Jack's facial expression is awesome and full of win, as is the meatball which Carrick has whimsically placed atop his head (and which he nommed shortly after this picture was taken).
And it was the best birthday Carrick eveeer haaaad. ^^
Ooh - almost forgot. This is my 400th submission. WTF?~

I think there's a certain degree of merit in either one, but I tend to most long for the simpler, more childlike play, myself. If I were to describe my feelings on it, it would take a long long time :P
But if you're interested, I'd love to talk on a messenger program one of these days. Would love to get to know you more, and I have some ideas for an eventual idea I might like to commission from you, when I'm not broke puppy!
