we panicked as we worried it was some kind of strange curse. but, it’s not like they were hurting him.
in fact, they let off a warm and radiant glow, looming gracefully behind him. you could even see it under his cloak. that tiny portion of the swamp he occupied was washed with inviting tones of pink and red.
while we enjoyed basking in the moment and admiring twig’s new feature, we soon realized we needed to figure out what happened, and that’s when we ran back to kirekeep under the shielding dark of the sunset to scour through my many books, hoping to find an answer.”
