Woolly Bear (All Engines GO! Adaptation)
Not too long after writing my adaptation for Ghost Train, I wondered what the story after it would be like, and then I decided to try my hand at adapting it. This one is a more loose adaptation compared to the ghost train one since Woolly Bear isn't a story I care about (Mainly because Thomas is an asshole in it and Percy gets beat down for no real reason), So I reworked the story to something more to my taste. With all that out of the way, I hope you enjoy it.

*Fade to the sky before panning down to a field of yellow where some workmen have just finished raking hay into heaps. Percy arrives with some trucks.*
Percy: What are you doing?
Workman: Making hay. We cut the tall grass along the tracks and rake it into heaps to dry in the sun.
Percy: Ohh...
Workman: And now that you're here, we can load it into your wagons.
*The workmen begin loading the wagons and covering them with tarps.*
Workman: We're covering the trucks so the hay won't blow all over the place.
Percy: Good idea.
*The workmen finish loading Percy's wagons.*
Workman: Alright Percy, now you must take the hay to the station. From there, Toby will take it to all the farms on Sodor for the farmers to feed their animals.
Percy: I'm on my way.
*Percy leaves with the wagons of hay. Fade to Knapford Station where Toby leaves with the train of hay.*
Toby: Thank you Percy!
Percy: You're welcome, Toby.
*Percy notices Diesel nearby*
Percy: There's Diesel, I think I'll say hello to him.
*Percy chuffs up to Diesel*
Percy: Hi Diesel!
Diesel: AAAHHH!
Percy: *Giggles* Don't be scared Diesel, it's only me.
Diesel: Hmph, you're ugly enough to scare anyone.
Percy: I'm not ugly, I'm-
Diesel: Yes you are, you look like a green caterpillar with red stripes, and you crawl like one too.
Percy: I DON'T!
Diesel: And you're always late.
Percy: It's because I have hay to deliver!
Diesel: That's not my problem. Everyone relies on us to be on time, and you certainly can't since you crawl in the hay all day. I'd be able
to get your job done without being late.
*Thomas puffs besides the two arguing engines.*
Thomas: Alright then Mr. Always-On-Time, if you're so sure you can deliver the hay without being late, then you should take the next delivery of hay after taking your next train to the docks.
Diesel: Fine, I WILL.
*Diesel rolls away, leaving Thomas and Percy alone.*
Thomas: You ok, Perce?
Percy: No... Thomas... Do I look ugly?
Thomas: No way! You look cute, everyone says you are... Or at least nearly everyone.
*Percy slumps*
Thomas: B-besides, your curves are better than diesel's corners.
Percy: Diesel also said I'm always late...
Thomas: That's not true. You're never late, at least not for more than a few minutes sometimes, but we can always make up for lost time.
Percy: Thanks Thomas.
Thomas: Anything for my Loco-Migo. We've got some time to play now, how about some train tag?
Percy: Ok. *taps Thomas* You're it!
Thomas: *Laughs* Get back here!
*Fades to Diesel arriving at the docks.*
Diesel: Alright, that's the wagons delivered, now to get the hay.
*He begins moving, above him Cranky is struggling with a loose crate of syrup until it drops.*
Cranky: DIESEL, LOOK OUT!
Diesel: Huh? *Notices the crate falling* AAAHHH! *Braces*
*The crate smashes on top of Diesel covering him in syrup.*
Diesel: Ick! Watch out Cranky!
Cranky: Hey, the crate slipped from my hook!
Diesel: Ugh... I'd better get a washdown...
*Fade to Diesel under a water tower, most of the syrup came off, but he's still sticky.*
Diesel: Alright, I may not be completely clean, but it'll be fine. I'd better get going, if I'm late, Thomas and Percy won't let me forget it.
*Diesel hurries away. Fade to the line-side field, the wind is picking up as Diesel approaches.*
Diesel: Oh no, look at that!
*The wind blows the hay everywhere with the workmen desperately trying to clear it.*
Diesel: I'd better go as fast as I can so I don't get stuck. *honks horn* Out of the way!
*The workmen stand clear as Diesel approaches. Diesel end up getting stuck with the hay making the rails slippery*
Diesel: Oh no.
Workman: Sorry, but you'll have to wait until we can clean up the hay and load it into your wagons before you can start again.
*Diesel sighs as a couple strands of hay begin sticking to him. Fade to Thomas, Percy, and Toby waiting at knapford.*
Toby: *looks at the clock* 10 minutes late...
Thomas: See Percy, the extra hay deliveries can make anyone late, even Diesel.
*Diesel's horn is heard.*
Toby: That young'in better have a good explanation for bein'-
*Toby stops and stares before laughing, with Thomas and Percy following. Diesel rolls in, completely covered in hay.*
Diesel: ...Sorry I'm late...
Thomas: Look what's crawled out of the hay!
Diesel: What do you mean?
Toby: Talk 'bout hairy caterpillas, it's worth bein' late to have seen ya.
*Diesel looks confused. Fade to the maintenance yard. Carly and Sandy see him before laughing.*
Carly: What happened to you?
Diesel: That's what I wanna know.
Carly: how about I show you.
*Carly back into the shed, and some clattering is heard before she come out carrying a giant mirror which she then holds up to Diesel.*
Diesel: Woah! No wonder they laughed, I look just like a woolly bear caterpillar... Could you please clean me before the others find
out?
*Fade to Tidmouth Sheds during the evening. Thomas, Percy, Nia, and Kana are laughing, the latter two finding out the story from Thomas and Percy. Diesel arrives.*
Kana: Hey Diesel. Had fun pretending to be a caterpillar?
Diesel: Yeah... *looks at Percy* Percy, I'm sorry for calling you a green caterpillar with red stripes... And for saying you were ugly... And for saying you were always late.
Percy: It's ok diesel. At least you managed to deliver the hay, even if it meant becoming a woolly bear.
*Thomas, Percy, Nia, and Kana laugh. Diesel joins in after a bit and the camera pans to the sky.*
