**Giggles!**
As I work on waking up for the morning, something that I have been kicking around inside the cauldron of my mind is what is my greatest treasure? What makes my life so special and precious? Yesterday, we had the Renovation Party for the Firm where I have worked hard at and by their side since the bottom of 2000, right after having so many hard times trying to find a good job where you have co-workers who don't steal, hurt each other, and are good to one another for the simple fact that it is "The Team Work that Makes the Dream Work!" Another one of those sayings that I remember Pop instilling on me for years when I was still a knucklehead, still learning and growing up. Several of the bosses got a chance to say a few really nice things about me, "The person who helps keep things moving!" Even the Big Boss said to one of the bigger clients that he was honored to have me here at the Firm where he grew up with. I even got a few pictures with me in the celebration and, since this was also the Master's Party too, to hit a few golf balls for the big prize of one grand! I honestly didn't want it, but I tried nevertheless. I wanted to see who would get it ... and that was still going on around 7 pm, but I was exhausted and needed to go. The photographers got a few pictures of me with a few of my gal-pals there at the Firm so I can send them to my Big Sister.
Now, while that is great to have in my experiences, you have all of the friends that I had made along the way. I know a good many people who have been working their way through the realms where they work. The current mayor of Pooler, for example, is a high school friend of the Big Boss and he's worked his way up to the position he holds. The same goes with the mayor of Garden City, all good people. So, not only am I blessed with a great place to work at and for, but friends who were there for me in my darkest times during the early 2000s and even to today. I got to see a few people who had moved on from the Firm to other jobs and they still spoke highly of their days there, even a few of them still have strong ties with the Firm and have done work for us for their respected organizations. Fine folks all the way through.
I even got to see the Big Boss's younger kids and his lovely wife, all who I have grown up with it feels like. The kids were born while I was working for the Firm and remember all of the groovy times we had together. The lady of the Big Boss, his wife, was gracious in reminding a few people of those long nights where I chauffeured them about ... and that caught the attention of the mayor of Pooler who ended up telling the story of the football trip the Big Boss hosted where I had to drive "The Party Bus!" All good times!
So, as I sit here on my second cup of coffee and having woken up a bit more, I find myself thinking more that my powerful memory is my greatest treasure, perhaps my treasure chest with all of the jewels, baubles, magical items, tomes of legends and lore, and other assorted valued things.
Here we have a quick bonus picture that my good friend
yonachka_doki did for me. Magical Pirate Captain Taffy holding up a huge gemstone and just so tickled with herself!
Thank you so much for the gift, honey!
