I'm not sure why I've been on such a taur kick lately, something activated the "half-humanoid fantasy creature go brrr" part of my brain lmao

Anyway, here's Rowan. I'm not completely settled on his lore yet, but I've got a vague setting in mind. In it, centaurs are an intelligent and civilized species; of all magical creatures, they're the closest to the humanoid races, and as such tend to negotiate with them as equals far more often than the others. Centaurs live in nomadic herds, each with their own motives; some are closely allied with various humanoid kingdoms, while others are fiercely territorial and trust only their own.

Rowan's herd is full of skilled dragon-hunters, as they often battle over the mountainous territory they prefer. But they are also diplomatic; they act as regular go-betweens for the Men and Beasts, and are generally regarded - by those who aren't dragons - as a neutral party. But there will always be those on each side who distrust their involvement with the other.

Rowan is a young adult, and a viable candidate for the herd's leadership circle. He's torn between the knowledge that his levelheaded nature would shoulder the burden of responsibility well - and the youthful urge to enjoy his freedom while it lasts. He fiercely loves the double-life his herd's position grants him, from walking the streets of the largest human cities to roaming the untamed mountain valleys. His only hope is that he will never have to give either one of them up.

I plan to make him a gw2 version too, since their centaur designs are super cool imo.
