Are there healtier ways of coping with a petty rivalry with a stone statue than menacingly piling your blubbery belly against it? Yes. Are they as visually appealing? I don't think so.

Thus: Go ahead Mushu! Show The Great Stone Dragon who's the Big Deal around here!

I finally saw Mulan with some friends... and as a consequence, Mushu got completely stuck in my mind. He was a permanet fixture of my thoughts. He started his indefinite —and likely permanent— stay, rent-free in the Penthouse Suite at the local Holiday TzINN (I'll see myself out).

My attempt to cope with this sudden and very welcome presence was drawing them. It started inocuously enough: merely a sketch. No harm there, right? But one sketch became two... and two became three, and within a week I had fallen into the trap of making a full blown sequence of the little dragon becoming progressively enormous.

So I took the idea and I ran with it. I had been hesitant about trying very big sizes, because I didn't think I had the skills or the knowledge to do it convincingly. And to my surprise, I think I did a decent job!

Anyway, thanks for sharing this adventure with me! I hope you enjoy it!
