ah my favorite theatre of world war II was the North African Front, and I really admire Rommel and the Afrika Korps which is probably the only German unit to never be accused of war crimes, Rommel commonly called it a 'war without hate' in which both sides shown humanity towards one another, even though that battles were fierce, POW's were treated well on both sides.
is truth, rommell was a general, didn´t act as a nazi officer and definitly was a great military leader. and Montgomery demonstrates great skills to addapting rommel plains to himself and creating lots of new ones. definitly an interesting crush of great armies =3 *italians happy with their 90 mm cannons XD*
One book I highly recommend is 'War Without Hate' by John Bierman and Colin Smith its all about the North African campaign in WWII from 1940-1943 giving an accurate depiction of the armies who fought and died in North Africa and I learned a lot from it, it is over 400 pages but its an excellent read :3
