I recently took a trip to Seattle for Rainfurrest and did a shitfuckerton of drawings. Mostly on the 56 hour train rides there and back. Here's the first batch of many.
My laptop conked out 12 hours into the trip, so I had an awful lot of time to eat up. I read me a mess of books, and I also did one of these. They're great for making time fly by because you can totally lose yourself in the process of putting down each little precise line.
I'm also rather proud of the fact that this drawing even exists. Many years ago on my first long train ride (to California, BTW), I was barely able to sketch at all. The constant humpety-bump motion of the train made it impossible to draw with any control. Yet here I am now, able to do the most challenging type of drawing I do, requiring the most amount of control, and it was actually pretty easy. It's cool to see proof of one's progress. :)
