... It was a lovely book... And I must wonder if it's either conceited of you to think of yourself as smarter than your subscribers or if you're so smart you're able to objectively see yourself in such a light...

No, it was just a joke. I don't honestly think that "Flowers for Algernon" best describes me.
I don't think I am smarter than my subscribers. It thought of the comic because I have a terrible habit of over analyzing everything, and I occasionally worry that I can't have normal relationships because I never turn off "academic".
This comic shouldn't be taken seriously at all, especially in the context of Me being smarter than others. I'm not.
