FOR A PRIVATE TRADE NOT ON FA

Another of my species of mermaids that I've been telling you all about... Decided that she would fit into the category of random mermaids for trade

This one was a joy to draw. As far as the species go, I should include this one as well in the description as it explains some of the hunting techniques. What you see here is the ol' bait and push type attack. This fisherman made the mistake of stealing the fish in their territory ( these mermaids are very territorial when it comes to what they consider THEIR food) and so they will take back what is theirs. While one of the merfolk distracts the sailor, one or two more (depending on whether or not she is traveling with females or males) will swim behind the boat and give it a hard rock, knocking sailor and his catch into the water.

The good news is that there is never food wasted... the smell of blood will attract the other merfolk and there is plenty to go around, especially if it is a crew of two or more.
