Finnix belongs to a different species af goo creatures ones that have developed some psychic abilities and why they have a third eye on their forehead. Like the other goo creatures they want to explore the cosmos and get to know other species out there. Finnix had a fascination with foxes and discovered a planet that is always cold all the time and has a few pockets of heat but the outside is all freezing. When he landed on the planet he almost instantly froze but used his power to keep some of himself warm but the cold was blowing strong. Then a fox of the species he wanted to meet finds him almost frozen picks him up and takes him to a cave that has some good heat and warms up inside for his generosity he uses one of his tentacles and gets a sample of his dna and turns into what you see now and the fox is impressed by his transformation and both of them chat and get to know one another. The fox that saved his life talks about that he wants to one day go explore other planets outside of his own even if its not that cold and finnix tells him he can travel with him if he wants to and the fox gladly accepts. Before they go on this journey Finnix wants to adjust to his new body and walks out into the cold and now barley feels any of the cold outside and enjoys the new body as he can now brave any cold areas below freezing and possibly areas that would freeze ya instantly.
