This piece is Untitled at the moment so I gave it a Number instead.
This is a work in progress so any tips and or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.
I was DJing yesterday on sl and well got so darn mad that I left. In my frustration came inspiration and with that I decided to sit down and compose this song here. It is my very first attempt at a NRG/ FreeStyle type song for if you heard the rest of my music I mainly do house like music or trance.
SO Far I'm quite please with this song. I'm using the TR-909 DrumMatrix, TB-303 BassLine , and the Juno-G as my work station . My DAW is Sonar where I Recorded this.
Tempo is 165 which gives it that NRG feel. (NRG is not slow that is for trance) I'm using about half of my 16 Midi Chanels available on the Juno to create a nice layed feel to it.
*NRG is: NRG is a fast paced form of Trance and Rave combining elements of Acid and HardDance. SubGenres of this class is TranceCore which has slower mid parts and more trance like qualities and FreeStyle which Has more Acid and Rave like qualities with little breaks.*

It starts off abrupt and scares me. XD But I understand it is a WIP so. Anyway, I don't know much about music, but I will try. =)
I think a build up of small sounds in the beginning will lead up to that point where everyone starts to jump up and down building up to the hard awesome beats. I know that when I'm at AnthroCon, I love the songs that build to a fast beat, but not too slow.
Also, I'm really dumb when it comes to types of music, but I think it would be really cool to add some vocals, maybe even add a slow beat in the center to let everyone catch their breath before returning to the beat. <--- This is just a personal opinion, I am in no way telling you this is how it should be done. XD;;;
I REALLY like the beat, and the ending is really smooth and final. =) It's a great piece, I look forward to it being completed but with a little more depth then just hard core beats. =)
Good luck!!!

You are right on track. I plan to add a soffter center (the fall) all to rise back into the main melody.
Vocals? XD Oh this is a dream to add music with vocals. Sadly im better at writing music than singing. I only know one fur who can sing though It would be rather difficult to use his tallents since neither of us are local to another =/ and how can you record somones vocals when there 200+ miles away?
I may start the beginig out a bit softer :P Thanks for your advice.
The key with summiting Wip's is that I don't look for thouse with musical expertise for a my fan base is made by the listerners like you. ^^

It is possible for them to record it themselves then send it to you. Depending on the quality of their microphone, you can use that - or better yet, if they have their own recording studio, even better. I've seen collaboration across countries before - just do a lot of research and planning, see what can be done. :)
I'm not really familiar with the NRG genre, but I'll try to give as much input as I can.
As stated above, I think I'd have a little more build-up leading in to it. For me build-up creates a sense of excitement and anticipation that would be like quadrupled with this intense bpm :P
As is, I really like the synths you have going on this, though I think I'd bring some of them down to really kinda accentuate the bloopy synth (I don't know what else to call it XD) unless your intention was to focus on a different synth or set of synths.
I understand this is a WIP, but it would be cool to maybe have a little variation thrown in there. This is just a matter of personal taste, but I rather enjoy at least one section of variation in my techno music.
I hope this was helpful! D:

Bloopy synth <.< ? I have a feeling I know what you are talking about though still not entirely shure.. >.> I may post a picture of the sheet Music to help aid better with this song.
Im actrully finding buildin up with this song very difficult as well as adding in new parts @_@ So far what you are hearing is suposed to be the 1st phase and chorus.

I don't know much on this..genre..I really like this..but to me, it being so fast throughout the whole thing..makes me really have to think "..woah..wait..what did I just hear" but, with that said..I also find it rather catchy..I would suggest..maybe making the main melody a bit easier to follow..>>; but..other then that..its well done ^^
