But the teeth! THE TEETH! Moles aren't rodents! They're actually close to shrews and hedgehogs!
Unless you actually mean for her to be a "pocket gopher", a kind of rodent, in which case the teeth should INDEED stick out past the lips (actually from both below AND above. It's kinda creepy, so that's worth ignoring for artistic license...)

The key identification here are the teeth - rodents have a large gap between the incisors and the other teeth. As you can see, moles do not.
