Yep, she panicked and it's clearly not a good thing. However, we will have to wait for the next chapter to know how all this continues; I already want to know what the protagonist's reaction will be to what is happening to that titan, as well as what he will do after meeting her, among other things. Beyond that, I must say that this was a very interesting chapter; awesome job by the way.

Well, this clears a few things up. You'd previously posted a piece of concept art ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/40875271/ ) featuring a maturation chamber of the Helepolis project. Given the path we saw the boy's "spark" follow (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44755683/) and this image, we can assume that Lemony in one of the chambers there. I note also that it looks like she might be quite a bit larger than the reference monster in the concept image, implying she'd been left "to cook" in the chamber for too long. Presumably, the human staff having passed away might have something to do with it.
Less clear is how or why the boy is involved - his own scene of being trapped seems related to the Platform 7 disaster, and appears to take place in another dimension / time.

I only just now got round to reading this series but damn I'm excited to see what's gonna happen next and the world building too mayn, also can't wait to see where and how Excel n the other Titans who lost their human partners fit in the present day story as I'm sure we may get flashbacks... Possibly ? Anyway fantastic work as always JJ
