My birthday is coming up and my bf is drawing a countdown with Jameel in drag! :^)
I can't remember if I talked about it here, but I've been thinking a lot about that (for the last year really):
Jameel is doing drag! And in drag her* name is Mama Ghanoush! (Not 100% settled on that name currently, but trying it out. Feel free to tell me what you think :^D) She is still a baby drag and tries out different things for herself, different styles and so on, and ... I'm curious to see what else she got the next couple of days!
*Of course, since it's drag, in drag Jameel's pronouns are she/her, (girl, queen, and so on!) while out of drag he uses he/him mostly, but ... actually, he doesn't really care? Any pronoun is fine with him.

Okay, so, dumb question: But do you know Mama Ghanoush as a dish/dip as well?
Because I picked the name as a pun and I was only familiar with Baba Ghanoush from the stores and restaurants here. And then ... through googling I also found out that Mama Ghanoush exists as well. And there goes my joke But it seems not to be as prevalent als Baba is and now therefore I'm wondering, does the name come off to people as a wordplay on Baba Ghanoush, or simply as the name of a dish?

So I'm in the same boat as you, and actually upon doing some light Googling myself I'm actually not finding a "mama ghanoush" recipe. I am seeing a restaurant with that name, but that's more a regional result. And either way, I still say go with it if you like it! I got what you were intending right away, and it's not like there aren't drag queens out there with names of actual things anyway 😜
