You know it doesn't do him Justice to calm a villain. He was more like a really good antagonist he was doing what he believed was right and we're going to go all the way with it until the very end when he was it was a mistake. And then he accepts it wholeheartedly. I just love Loghain.
This is a very deep and ambiguous character, but in the game, unfortunately, he is not sufficiently developed, which creates a superficial impression of him as an unpleasant villain.
