It may look like a cheap Harrier knock-off, but as you can see from the design specs below, it's more of an in-your-face Harrier from hell.
The Type 302 Scramasax is a completely different class of warplane than the Harrier, despite it's resemblance. While Harriers are short-ranged, medium-altitude, subsonic Attackers, the 'Scram is a medium-ranged, high-altitude, Mach 2 Tactical Fighter (it also has the same FCS as the Type 278 Rapier). Once airborne, it's performance is more like that of the proposed Hawker-Siddley P.1154, than a Harrier.
It's not *all* good, though --- there are at least 2 major design flaws in the 'Scram.
First, it's guns are mounted in the wing roots, which complicates maintenance, reloading, and zeroing the sights.
Second, it's bizarre quadracycle landing gear is both a maintenance dilemma, and a VERY awkward means by which to take-off, land, and taxi. Also, the covers for the front landing gear obscure lateral downward visibility.
(I design these aircraft to be interesting --- not perfect).
It also lacks Fly-By-Wire.
In other words, flying this aircraft would be almost sheer chaos. XD

There was actually an attempt at such an airframe in the early 1960s --- the Hawker-Siddley P.1154 (mentioned above);

The odd thing is though, I actually knew of the P.1154 before I made this design, but I somehow didn't think of it when I came up with the Scramasax. Needless to say, I experienced a major facepalm moment when I was looking for design references for the Type 302, and RE-learned of the P.1154.
