When the princess of the night invited Nightward over to meet up, the stallion was elated at the prospect of hanging out with none other than the princess herself, but the elation had peaked when he crossed the doorway to Luna's bedroom and only diminished as he noticed the pack of diapers his size.
It hadn't been the first time he had met Luna; his parents had worked in the castle and he had looked up to her when he was a young colt. However, while he had nothing but admiration for her, Luna seemed to be operating under the assumption that he still had the occasional accident like he did back when he was recently potty trained.
And very embarrassingly, Luna wasn't that far off from the truth, if you pressed the stallion enough he might even admit it's not exactly uncommon for him to find himself in situations where a cute mare decides that he doesn't actually need a potty break just yet, and even less common for those situations to end up with him making it to a toilet in time.
Fate seemed to be that he'd find himself still trapped in a vicious circle, this time by the very princess, who not only decided that she didn't trust his ability to stay dry enough to allow him to go without diapers, but who still wasn't allowing him to use the bathroom in spite of that.
"L-luna, I need to peeeeeeeeeeeeeee..." Nighty whined, barely able to hold himself after several hours in Luna's bedroom and having been offered several drinks by the princess throughout. Luna's private bathroom was adjacent to her room and its door remained open, so the toilet was always within his sight, reminding him of how badly he wanted to use it.
"Now, a colt of thy bigness should be able to hold his bladder, thou need not to borrow OUR bathroom - we expect our toilet to remain unoccupied and thy stars unfaded."
Luna was kind but also strict and the stallion's desperation wasn't making her any more willing to allow him a visit to the potty. It wouldn't be long until he'd erase all of the cute prints of his diaper and prove to the princess that the rest of the package wouldn't go to waste.
