2nd Earthbound OC (finally), but this one is a bonafide pooch.

This came as a result of Hachi from Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 inspiring me. Something about a dog operating a machine that fights just sounded cool.

Biography: Diego is one of the 14 house pets (Consisting of 7 dogs & 7 cats mostly) belonging to Junichiro and Palutena & their family. He was once part of a puppy mill operation and lived in horrible conditions. However, his days at the mill came to an end when Juni & his daughter Metis discovered the mill and got it shut down within hours. The puppies were all rescued and sent to proper abodes where they would receive the love & care they so justly deserved. Among the rescued dogs there, Diego was found among the chaos and a decision was made to bring the pup home where he could live the remainder of his life as the dog he was meant to be. However, it was also discovered that Diego had a knack for machinery as he would often be alongside Juni, getting any tools or parts needed for whatever he was working with. For this reason, Juni built 5 small machines for Diego to pilot himself, basing them off various ride armors (Which lead to these machines being affectionately referred to as Doggy Armors), but making sure they make use of the dog's senses in the most humane way possible. One day, he took Diego & his machine operating skills on a test run in the Earthbound universe. Here, Diego proved to be quite a combatant in his machines & so Juni decided he should accompany him & Metis in the Earthbound universe when the need arises to do so. Diego is as friendly & affectionate as any Cardigan Welsh Corgi is. But be prepared to listen to a lot of barking as he's quite the barker once he gets riled up. Though while he does like meeting new people, he has no love for people like Pokey Minch. The most likely to dig up bones.

Abilities: Diego, given that he's a dog, is rather atheletic & is always on alert when needed. He is however, not necessarily a guard dog (Unless intruders hate getting licked that is), but that doesn't stop him from alerting fellow dogs Byron, Roscoe, and Duchess when someone unwanted is present. But what sets him apart from other corgis is his ability to operate machines. In fact, Diego is capable of operating the doggy armors his owner Juni builds for him without much trouble. But aside from those, he knows what turns a TV off, and can safely turn a lamp on & off without breaking it. In terms of his doggy armors, this is his means of fighting back as he doesn't have the strength or bite force of a German Shepherd, Doberman, or Rottweiler to bring down enemies. The armor acts as his shields. This means that if it gets too badly damaged, he'll be forced to sit out for the remainder of the fight until it ends, or another ride is given to him to use. Plus, the armors have their own energy supply so Diego is in no way harmed just so it can keep going. Aside from this, like Boney, he can sniff out an enemy's offensive & defensive power, weakness if possible, and presents should an enemy be carrying one. Obviously, Diego cannot make use of PSI.
