So, one of my few 'macro march' pictures here... many years ago, back on FurryMUCK, I made up a character called Vixy-Anne Mac. Part kitsune, part giantess, part centaur, she was a giant fox'taur who started at about ten feet tall and only ever went bigger from there. She liked dressing in fancy dresses and affecting a southern drawl, and generally being teasing people by pretending to be demure until she pounced. The central shaft of her parasol is also her magic wand, which she uses for such tricks as shrinking other people or levitating them (as well as using it to help dress herself for parts the hands can't reach easily).
I created this character years ago deliberately to tease a few specific people... and I got her drawn by
T-Bone deliberately to tease a few people, with a non-zero amount of overlap. That's the sort of vixen she is.

Well, yes. Unless there are good reasons not to (significant costs for even minor spells) I don't see why somebody wouldn't use magic to make their own lives easier in little ways. Especially with clothes, given that clothing is often explicitly a status marker. (In many cultures, fancy clothing exists specifically because the fact that you could wear it was an indication that you owned servants to help you put it on.)
Heh. I still remember one of the little side notes about Ranea in some early stories, where a culture that did interdimensional trading had technological gas ovens (brought in from off-world, I think), but then used magical fire crystals as pilot lights.
