I whipped this up really quick tonight due to a terrible unfortunate event I had involving the Kindle I was given for my birthday from my family.
In the case is actually my SECOND Kindle 3G because my FIRST Kindle 3G wound up with a terrible broken/cracked screen. I pulled it out of my bag one evening to find it like pretty much impossible to use. I was so upset. I had it barely two weeks. I was so distraught that
arpad had to call up customer service for me, and to be honest, Amazon really pulled through.
They overnighted me a BRAND new Kindle free of charge. It was amazing. No questions asked. I just had to send back my broken one. It was amazing.
So, anyway, I looked at protective cases for this new one and they are crazy expensive and don't even look so strong. So I bought this insane ROPE YARN (well, it's actually just like 8 ply or something insane like that) and made a nice case for it myself. It's simple, but cute, and involves one of my favorite color combinations. :]

Aww! Sorry to hear about your Kindle breaking. Any idea what did it in the bag? You've made me terribly paranoid about the fate of my precious precious Nook just being chucked in my laptop bag. Should I be keeping it segregated away from my laptop so they can't bang together? D:
I don't know. I don't know how sensitive the Nook is in comparison to the Kindle. Apparently many people have had problems with the screen on their Kindle cracking and it is pretty much necessary to have a case with it and still try to avoid throwing it in any bags. Some people have even had them break IN cases.
I guess try to find out how common it is with the Nook. I would keep it segregated from the laptop, though, probably.

I love the way brown and blue look together, too. :) Also, that thing is MEGA cute.
I'm sure you get enough with your plushie commissions, but if you ever need something to offer up for sale, I'd be willing to bet something like this would go over pretty well [I am thinking etsy, but really I am sure there are several places you could offer it.]

oh gosh this is so adorable <3 ... do you recall what kind of yarn this is? It's beautiful!
and thats amazing that Amazon pulled through for you :D They sent me a printer once with no questions asked when I received one that had been broken in the mail, I was surprised with how nice they were about it!
