First cupcake roses.

Cupcake:
follow the instructions on your favorite cake mix (homemade or box) to make normal cupcakes. The minicupcakes will be too small.

Frosting:
I use my signature vanilla buttercream, but any light colored frosting will work, frosting all the way to the paper.
Immediately after frosting roll the edges in decorating sugar, my favorites were the color to match the rose or white to just add a touch of glitter, and let sit to harden before applying the rose (or it will fall over when settling into the frosting).
