I can understand why people hate drawing humans, there is no real "wrong" style when drawing furries, so generally they have an easier time being accepted as drawn "well." Whereas when drawing humans, we all know what we look like, and as such, any artwork that is not drawn properly is a LOT easier to criticize than furry.
But, drawing more humans is the best way to improve your style. After you get the figure drawn properly, add ears, fur, and a tail and you has youself a fuzzy!

I admit, I hate drawing humans. I can't use the same shape method for humans that I can for anthros, which makes it hard on me. That said, I've been practicing with them for a long time now to try to get better at it. I'm always trying new things even with my non-human art. It's a pretty crucial step to not fucking sucking at art.
That said, my boyfriend does this kind of stuff, except replace human with colouring. He'll sketch something, put flat colours on it, MAYBE add some basic cel shading if he feels like it, and then shrug his shoulders and declare it 'good enough', just to complain later about how he sucks at colouring. WELL YEAH, you don't try anything new, ever! I've pretty much made that same face in the last panel at him a billion times now.

Well, I can do bodies just fine. I have a fairly good grasp of anatomy. But human faces? Total failure on my end. I'm too used to using shapes for muzzles and stuff and I can't really do that with humans in the same way, so I'm having to learn human faces from the ground up. I'll get it with enough practice, but I'm also struggling to figure out the STYLE I want to apply to human faces.
I don't do digitigrade legs on anthros when I can help it, I think they look silly and uncomfortable, so my anthros are usually just humans with a wolf head or whatever.

This is forever late but I was glancing at this again, came across this comment, and figured you'd enjoy this. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4706220/
