Thank gawd... no Bullwinkle!
Bullwinkle, of course, was Jay Ward's favourite. Ward always loved the sort of lunkheaded humour Bullwinkle made possible -- dumb, but somehow knowing it was dumb. Ward also loved Fractured Fairytales and Dudley Do-right. The odd thing is that I usually didn't like what Ward liked most.
The ultimate expression of our different tastes was his later show, "Fractured Flickers." This was pure Ward, the show he most wanted to do. He was able to do away with troublesome animation and even with consistent characters, and get down to the pure corn, and innuendo that were what he really liked doing. I couldn't stand it.

Nice work on the pic!
I remember watching an anniversary documentary about ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE on PBS. June Foray spoke about how her agent wanted her to audition for the show. She was reluctant, but her agent insisted that she at least have lunch with Jay Ward.
June agreed and met Jay at a bar/grill called the "Tail of the Cock", where they had a three-martini lunch. June apparently had never had one of those before, and by the time they were done, she'd said, "Ill do it! I'll do it!".
