next up is the fire starter Fuecoco, whose name is a combination of the words Fuego, which means fire in spanish, and Cocodrilo, which means crocodile in spanish. As Fuecoco grows I think it would evolve into Caimiente, whose name is a combination between Caiman, which is the spanish word for alligator, and Caliente, the spanish word for hot. Then finally I think Caimiente would eventually evolve into Quemanaga, whose name is a combination of the words Quemar, the spanish word for scorch, and naga, which is a fantasy creature that looks humanoid from the waist up though from the waist down has a serpent tail. The fire starters in the pokemon series are supposedly modeled after animals on the chinese zodiac, and since there's no crocodile, and I'm pretty sure they don't want to do dragon again like with Charizard, I modeled the line after a snake, also the white on Fuecoco's head kinda looked like a skull mask, and since the starters have spanish words in their names, and I figure Scarlet and Violet are going to have regions inspired by somewhere in spain, I made the skull mask reminiscent of a day of the dead skull.
