The only emergency vet in the area would not operate to save her life, because we did not have the money up front.
Instead they sent us home with antibiotics and a suggestion that we ask friends, family and maybe start a gofundme page...
3 days later, she was jaundice and very ill, we were forced to ask everyone we knew for help, two stepped forward and loaned us a card to use,...
We brought her to the vet, and they said now that we waited, the infection had spread, and the bill went from $3,800.00 to $5800.00. My cousin, and other wonderful friends helped bring the bill down to around $4,000.00...
We got her in for surgery and were sent home to wait.
They called and had "good news and bad news"...
The operation was a success.
However they found her to be septic and she needed to be put down.
We had waited too long... due to the vet's policy on caring more about money than your furry family members.
They have NO policy for payment plans.
They refuse to help without money up front.
This needs to change.
BUT, it will not change poor Luna's life ending at only 5 years old because of money.
It will not pay back the friends who, going through hard times themselves, graciously loaned us the funding to help try to save her life.
Our loved one is gone, and all that remains are some photos, the dog hair we find here and there through out the house, her toys that the other dogs hold against the window and cry through whenever someone pulls up as they think she may return... her memories, the sad silence as she was the one who would start barking if anyone came to the house... And, of course, the final bill.
I never ask for help, but in this circumstance, I have to.
Please, if you can spare a few beans to help us pay back friends who tried so hard to help our little girl,
It would be greatly appreciated.
I humbly ask you, for anything you can spare.
And thank you in advance.

It's super sad, because if not for the greed of man, our girl would still be here.
All they had to do was offer a payment plan for the bill.
I read the google reviews on the place, and found;
____
If I would’ve known I was going to leave the hospital without my fur baby I wouldn’t have gone anywhere near this place. In short, they’re MONEY HUNGRY. They couldn’t care less about anything other than the dollar bills. I’m heart broken.
____
the single most heartless, greedy, selfish group of vets I have ever experienced. Never in my life have I witnessed an animal hospital so cold that they would deny service to a dying animal, make a seizing dog wait in the lobby for over an hour, tell NUMEROUS clients "we can't help this animal, find somewhere else" and above all convince COUNTLESS clients their animals need services they clearly do not. Shame on this business.

All about the money.. rude vets . Barely make eye contact with you. You can just tell it’s only a job to them. It’s just like a person who isn’t good with children or doesn’t like to be around children opening up a day care!
You can clearly see that their is no passion in what they do and that’s not something a customer who loves their pet wants to see.

STAY AWAY!! This place has no sompassion for animals! They put on a great show and act like they care but behind their fake smiles is money signs in their eyes! It’s all about the money and how much they can pad the bill!! They prey on your emotions if your pet is sick and will think of more ways to add to the bill even if your pet doesn’t need it!! I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from this place and my dog even died on the way home from the vet after we ran several tests and x rays and blood work that costs hundreds of dollars almost close to a $1000 and they couldn’t tell me my dog was dying???? They even gave him CPR after my dog was already dead for 20 mins but instead of being honest with me and saying he’s already gone they performed the cpr on my dog and added an additional $250 on top of the hundreds I spent on his X-rays and testing!! Then after he died and they seen me balling my eyes out they ask me if I wanna cremate him for another $250!?! When does the greed STOP??!?!? My heart is broken my sweet little baby is gone but my heart is even more broken due to how I was treated there and my experience in my dogs final moments!! I felt like they shouldn’t of let me and a sickly dog leave like that or they could of ATLEAST gave him something to make him comfortable!!! Anything but what THEY did!! I felt so mislead And misguided by these so called “vets”!! Like what DO they know..really??? How come they couldnt tell me he was dying??? do yourself a favor save your money save your pet and bring them to a place that has people who understand what compassion is!! Especially for animals!! They should be ashamed of themselves! Maybe if only... it was their pet!!?? Or their child has an animal they loved!! Unbelievable!!

The other dogs still try to look for her when we go for our walk, she was the youngest and strongest, she was basically the one they took care of, and now they're confused, hurt, scared, and worried, and I can see it in their eyes, they don't know that they will never see her again -.-
Man I came for the 'other content' here, and instead choked up. I feel so bad for you, and I hope one day you find a vet who's like mine, she scaled down bills and told us to keep our money, will do weekly payments if necessary, and I've never seen her turn anyone away. We recently lost our dog Bella at 9-10 years old due to her developing what she thought was Dementia-shde was ordinarily so nice, but near the end would start a dog fight over literally something as simple as dropping a cup and she'd pounce on our other dog- but when she got put down, told us to keep our money and offered us a chance to see for sure about our dog and did a free post mortem xray and discovered a massive tumor in her brain, just to let us know we did the right thing, and told us 'Keep your money. The only payment I need is that you know you let her go when she was still herself' and told us eventually she would've started to attack people as it was pushing on the frontal lobe and growing rapidly. We shed a lot of tears that day, but she refused to let us pay a morsel of what would've been a 4-5 digit bill. Rest in piece Luna. Your owner fought like Hell to get you the help you deserved, but the vet made you wait too long. Willow, you sound like an amazing owner, and I'm so sorry for what you went through, you went up and over an obstacle, but the vet made the next one too tall.
My dear little Luna, you and little Jackson will never leave my heart.
I miss you dearly little bean, you made me smile every day.
I remember you running so fast, Luna the swift. You would wait for the ball to fall no matter how far I threw it, you were under it before it even hit the ground.
Luna, my little rocket dog.
My little cuddle bean, the playful and happy, loyal and loving little Luna.
I miss you every day.
I love you Luna.
