Made a quick update for those wondering what is happening.

Short Update
I am a bit overwhelmed, busy packing, and taking care of a menagerie of adorable little critters. I really can't say when I will catch up on things but when I can I will keep working on the comic to keep it going. I have just about a month to get my entire life packed up and a trip to plan. Everything is very hectic so when I do have some down time, I'm trying to not stress and overwork so art is just over all delayed.

LONG Update
Holy heck things are hitting the fan hard and fast. Despite trying to plan this whole trip out MONTHS in advance, there is still so much to do and sort out. For those who might not know, I'm looking to move to Canada in just about a month. Originally this was hoping to be a more permanent move but as things are shaping up, I am having to make some very tough last minute decisions. Basically instead of just packing everything up, I'm only planning for a (still very long) visit and need to only take what I absolutely can not stand to leave behind. Everything is going in a storage unit that I will have to come back to get later. Of course I'm taking all my animals on this trip so about 75% of the very limited space I have to pack and take with is being taken over by anything that is theirs. So yeah, a lot of.... tough decisions to really minimize my packing.

What's really killing me though is all the stuff needed to actually take these guys with me. First, my doggo is back to being cone doggo because he developed issues with he arthritis and licked sores across his sore leg. Doing all I can to get him all healed up because yeah, inspection at the border might not let us through if he isn't in his top old doggo self. Then I thought I finally got the worst done with sorting out my fish for the move but noooooo, the bird which I thought I had sorted out months ago did a complete 180. Apparently the vet I had spent weeks finding and being assured they could 100% take of of his health check and everything for the cost of a small fortune was actually just talking out of their rear end and dropped the ball yesterday that they weren't even licensed to do the health check to begin with. So yeah, got most of my money back from that but then had to spend all day yesterday calling up places and trying to again find a new vet who was qualified to fill out the governmental health check. Thank gods I have smart friends because one of them was able to decipher government websites enough to find me the right vet and thankfully they are getting things going.

Speaking of the bird though, did ya'll know avian flu is a thing again? Yeah, so now I have to worry about that. No, my bird doesn't have it or has any risk of catching it. He is a spoiled, pampered little feather duster who never gets exposed to the outside, let alone other birds. However because avian flu is on the rise, Canada is gradually banning all birds from a ton of states across the US. They haven't banned from here, yet, but I have to prepare cause if they do... I have some very hard choices to make. I can try to delay my trip by a few days but I can't delay forever. I literally wont have a place to live if I delay too long. I am honestly having to possibly plan to give up my bird, which means I have to really think and plan because if he ends up in a rescue or shelter that gets hit by the flu, all birds there get euthanized so I have to plan for him to have an actual home to go to and... yeah that ain't fun to think about.

On top of all that, I just got my travel vaccinations done so I'm a bit sore and tired today. I still have to sort out all my accounts as well to make sure everything from my bank to life insurance knows where I'm going. There is still just so much work and so little time. At this point everything is still... on some form of track, but it's taking everything I have to keep it there.

So yes, I wont be updating comic this week as well and I really can't say for sure that wont extend to next week. When I do have time and energy to just sit and do art, I will be working on it but as of right now most of everything I have to devoted to getting this trip going. I've waited what feels like a lifetime to finally have this chance and I'm just trying to make it through as best as I can.
