I say pray. If this is a dream maybe your subconscious will have included a god of some kind to protect/help you. Or perhaps this world has one that you designed since it's based off of your heart. IDK. But I know it'll be sweet!!!

Struggling doesn't seem likely to do any good; if this is a dream, hopefully being choked and incinerated won't actually hurt me; and accepting my fate is essentially doing nothing, which is boring; therefore, I'll pray. I certainly don't see how it could hurt.
