Leslie Morkai, AKA Captain Murkywater. He was once a genuine seaborne pirate from an uncharted planet in the distant past. A fearsome corsair true to his being a frigate bird. One day, while charting course through an unnatural black fog bank, he and his ship ran aground on the massive remains of a dead Eldritch god. A dead god still has its vast powers, but no longer a consciousness or will to control it. In a twsist of fate, the captain inherited the dead god's powers, granting him its control over the aspects of the sea and making him immortals. For a century or two he remained, until the faithful day he met Chynni, who arrived to investigate the case of the dead god. He eagerly accepted her offer to join her group, thirsting for more adventure and loot across the stars.
