This is actually the first pony sketch I ever did. I had a reference and a loooooot of time, so I actually was pretty happy with it at the time. You can see the attempts here to make Rainbow look like something that could actually exist in our world, because I was taking an art history class at the time and the Renaissance styles were just incredibly fascinating to me. The pose came from that Renaissance inspiration as well.
