HERE's the pilot chapter, if you want a refresher.
Planning and plotting! Here's a little looksee into our six main characters: Avery, Robin, Noah, Skieyl, Kell, and Dr. Caulfield.
These(and the story in general) is designed from the perspective of a top-down ARPG, so you'll have little bits about weapons and combat styles.
I have not written the spoilery version, but suffice to say that while everything in this update is true about the characters, a staggering amount of it is misleading. Teehee.
The Avery sample picture is one I drew a long time ago based on a werewolf art from even longer ago, who I do not remember made the original pose. This one was kinda fallout-RPGy, hence the little pipboy.
The Robin sample picture is from Atomicstoney, and I don't know where or what she posts under now(if you do, please let me know). It's basically the only good picture of a cabbit I have that isn't twokinds, and this one has wands and shooty as well which helps.
Mood music is in the pdf. Avery's theme and Caulfield's Battle2 are great.
Plowed through this after bits of adsgasdfga at work. Wanting to write something I had complete control over, you understand. Finishing up a private ottercomm, then going into the redwallish emcom. I won't start actually posting perchance2 chapters until Indulgent's first arc is done.
The main next thing I want to do Perchance2 wise is a series of Secret Reports explaining more of the setting and backstory leading up to where we are now. It covers the backstory of Perchance 1 and the RPG Epilogue that I never got around to writing, where Marion and crew find Menace and kick his butt while the opera lady wails symphonically. Post final boss sort of thing.
Perchance 2 Wake is a young-adult urban fantasy where people manifest their inner personality to go exploring mystical realms beyond earth. It is fundamentally about not just recovering from loss, but thriving in the rubble. Will have a lot of mental-health and depression themes, but is fundamentally a positive uplifting story about the triumph of the human spirit. There are no sexual themes, and indeed there is very little shipping at all. Sadness.
It is intentionally designed and written from the perspective of a top-down ARPG exploration battler, and would be neat to make into a video game one day. The novel follows what is essentially the good, happy route of the game with the best ending.

A fascinating cast, to be sure. The relationship between the others and the doc is a bit clearer now, although there's more questions to be had - why does nobody's apparent age match their actual age? I suppose we'll have to wait and find out.
It would probably be helpful if you either link to https://www.furaffinity.net/view/38645561/, or include once again the part of that dossier that explains Dreamer types.
