This is even more hilariously manipulative when you consider how much of a stickler AJ is about traditions. Applejack is the LAST pony that would ever consider breaking tradition, and now that she's forced into this position, she can't decide whether to accept this new fact and never learn, or break her moral code.
In this situation Applejack has become Granny Smith, but she's not OLD OLD, so, like Granny Smith adopting new ways during a certain episode and then from then onward... Applejack must now learn to do the same! She even helped Granny Smith do it! Oh how the tables have turned Applejack....
