This suit of armour was done under a commision from one of my best mates, who is a fullmetal alchemist fan, to parade at the Supa Nova pop culture convention in Brisbane, Australia, 2010, and boy did it turn heads, especially those of the clerks at the hotel we were staying. It is built out of fibre glass, carbon fibre, hardboard and styrofoam. The whole suit took about two and a half months to build, many late nights after work, and we finished it the night before our morning flight to the convention, in a shed, under heavy rain, flooded up to our ankles, it was bullsh!t. But, as you can see we got a pretty damn good result in the end. I'd like to thank my two best buds, my cousin and aunty for lending a hand. I couldn't have finished it on time without them.
