Wow, original content! And by me, no less. At the encouragement of a friend I decided to upload something from a few years ago, ironically probably better than I could do now.
This is an unused, as yet unnamed character, a bit eclectic but meant to be a tribal lizard girl. The concept and execution came together rather suddenly and then met an abrupt stop after finishing, like a lot of things I do, though many don't get that far. But practice is practice and, looking back after a few years of no activity at all, this is one of the drawings I am most happy with.
All that said, also due to the encouragement of above-mentioned friend, I have a new set of Sakura pens and hopefully there will be new content from me sometime soon. And if those pens don't make good pictures well momma's gonna... probably still have number two pencils and ballpoint pens, at least. Hope I can get over being seriously rusty.

Since you're starting fresh, study some resources on form, perspective, anatomy, and composition. The most popular suggestions for books (Loomis, Edwards, et al) are all good to start with. The most important tip is to never be afraid to try something new. The whole point of art is to make images that no one has ever seen before, including yourself, so don't fall into the trap of drawing the same thing repeatedly.
