After taking possession of Maeya's body to unleash his rage, in an attempt to free himself from the feline prison he had been locked in, Ombre, a powerful demon of shadows, got stopped, and exorcised by Alkähr, Maeya's adoptive brother. Before the dragon spirit could give the finishing blow and destroy the creature, though, the young druid interfered, and plaided for Ombre. The demon's deepest desire, was to be free, and to stay in the realm of the living, alone.

Maeya decided to grant his wish to the demon. But in exchange, they had to make a magical pact. Ombre would never cause harm to any living being without a reason he truly believed to be good, and in return, he would be allowed to live at the mansion and to request for some time alone with the druid, if he wanted. That is how it all began, with the wolf roaming in solitude on the druid's domain.
