After being exorcised out of Maeya by the dragon spirit Alkähr, Ombre, the shadow demon, made a pact with the druid to be allowed to stay in the world of the living. In exchange, he was not allowed to hurt anyone without a truly good reason. He also bargained the right to ask for some time alone with the feline every now and then.
At first, the demon was staying alone, away from everyone. Once in a while, he would ask for the time he was owed with the druid. With time, he went from silently staying close to Maeya, to actually chatting with him, and engaging in activities and games with the young druid. Now, Ombre is a close friend to the tyfox, and would do everything he can to protect him. Whenever Maeya is alone, Ombre always shows up from the shadows, from which he was keeping an eye on his friend, so that the feline is never truly alone.
