Every friendship starts from somewhere, Hard to believe that our friendship started at a tavern. I enjoying a drink after a long days work; enjoying the music as the other patrons go about their day. That's when my eyes spotted the dinodog, the one I help get back to his world. Surprised to see him back, even more that he found me. I could see that he was looking for me, and wanted something. He put me at ease when he held a bag of coin, telling the bar tender that he paying for the drinks. He flashed a friendly toothy smile, thanking me again for helping him to get back home.
I of course told him it was no trouble, but also inquired why he returned to my world. He again smiled telling me that we should first enjoy a drink, I obliged sense he was after all, paying for mine. We chatted, he giving his name, Siratta, and he talk with curiosity about my world, I did my best to tell him what I knew, but told him to go to the mage's guild or the historical society if he wanted to learn more about my world.
As the music played on, he started to ask about me, more specifically my strange ability of what I still call scrollamancy. I was more cautious now, and he saw that, stating that he wanted to help me, to work for me. This nearly made me spit my drink. I looked at Siratta like he was mad. Work for me? Siratta smiled and explained further, he was curious about everything, and as a scientist he wanted to better understand it. He also knew that toying with primordial magic directly was a good way to get killed, or worse.
He knew that I used primordial magic in a unique way because I had primordial magic flowing through me, and I was somehow able to use it. He offering to help me to better understand it in his scientific way, and all he ask is a place to stay. It was too good offer to pass up, Siratta look like one who could find answers. I smiled and we hashed out the details, soon we were both happy. He would live at my place in the basement and also share with the kobold den that is under my home, and he will collect some blood samples and observe me use my scrollamancy. I also planned to take him on future jobs as I can see he can be a valuable asset, and he can observe me in the field. He agreed to that as well, I smiled and we toasted on our deal.
The music started to pick up and I was in a good mood. I look at my new employee, shouting for another drink for the both of us.
