I tried a more realistic style here, closely looking at a photograph for reference.
I won’t usually draw like this; I prefer a more stylised and cutesy look x3
But I’m hoping if I draw realistically first, then I can go back and stylise the characters, and use what I’ve learned to make their stylised version more coherent and more full of life :3

I love the colors!
And thats an excellent thought! Every single artist needs to practice more realistic things. Even if they make cartoony stuff! Proportions and anatomy apply to stylized and cartoony (or, cutesy) work as well! My friend gave me that exact tip years ago! I was probably 13 when she told me that!
