Modern Day Mungo was supposed to exit stage left, but that SBD has his fellow thespian dashing backstage for fresh air. This is why Mungo never gets cast in lead roles that have him staying on stage for several minutes at a time.

To be fair, running away is probably the best option. Better to run away and miss your cue than to stay there and be unconscious for it
