[Go! Go! Hypergrind: Take Two!] Django
Just how drastic can these Go! Go! Hypergrind: Take Two! updates be? Well, here's one that may surprise you all! Do you guys remember Jack? I'm going to assume not, since Jack was definitely one of the less popular skaters... wait, I think I did this set-up before. However, Jack's upgrade is well beyond just the redesign- the character has been reworked from the ground up! Jack has now become Django, a lone wanderer from the Wild West who died after being hit by a train. He was revived by a cult who was performing a Satanic ritual in order to bring a deity of theirs, but one of the members screwed up the ritual and brought back what was essentially a 150-year-old hobo. Being left with nothing but the clothes on his back and a revolver with only a single bullet in its chambers, he wanders around, confused about what happened and how he became the way he ended up. However, due to being a skeleton, as well as not being good when communicating with people, everyone is scared of him. Everyone except for Liz, who took him into her apartment so he could have some shelter. Liz convinced him to participate in this brand new skating competition in order to pay for a surgery to give him skin and organs so he can be... a little less scary.
Django is mostly different from the old Jack, but his thing of being an animated skeleton still remains. Now he has some additional baggage as he would like to know about his past as well as finding out how he turned up dead. He isn't serious all the time, though. Once he's able to make friends, he's able to get along with them, though his old-timey ways make it a little hard for him to understand modern concepts, let alone technology. He's got a lot of mystery on his shoulders, but I think this new design also made him a much cooler character overall. So, enjoy, cowpokes!
