Sad Hawk is Sad

A couple days ago I found this red-tail hawk in front of my garage when I got home from school. It had been injured (looked like it had run into a car a while back, injuring its left eye), so we captured it and had a rehabber come and pick it up. She said the hawk was about two years old, and hadn’t eaten for a couple days, so she would give him some liquid food and have a vet take care of its eye. Monday she's suppose to call us back to let us know how its doing (as its better to release rehabilitated animals in the same area from where they were found).
Notes: I used 'it', as she didn’t tell us if the hawk was male or female (possibly find this out Monday). Also, if hawks and/or other predatory birds are easily captured, they are indeed injured or sick (if of decent health, they will either fly off or defend themselves).

OP
He was, they were able to treat his injured eye and he was released back into the wild. Probably still flying around as they have a 20yr average lifespan.

Oh, that's wonderful to hear. I'm so glad, and pleasantly surprised about that last bit.
