Thorn wakes up in the small burrow they dug under a bush. They take stock of their supplies; they have enough food for at least a week, maybe two if the stretch it, but they'll need to get more after that. That means they'll need a hiding place where food grows. Tiny Woods comes to mind, but it's too close to the town. They'll need somewhere further away. Probably best to keep moving to avoid-
What the hell are they thinking?! There's no way Compass actually sold them out!
Thorn shakes their head and exits their hiding place. They're just being stupid and paranoid. Compass is their trusted partner! Sure they're a goody-two-shoes, but they'd never betray Thorn like that! Thorn decides to head back to town, apologize for running off, and ask what Compass did when they-
"Thorn the Cubone," a voice calls from behind.
Thorn bolts.
"Hey! Stop right there!" a second voice shouts, and Thorn hears footsteps behind them. They take a quick glance, and spot an oshawott and a charmander chasing them. It's a close race, but when Thorn hears the footsteps getting closer, desperation propels them forward with a burst of speed!
Thorn makes a sharp turn through some bushes into a thick grove, where they weave through the trees before diving into a bush to hide. Their lungs ache for air, but Thorn keeps their breathing silent as they listen to the footsteps come closer.
"Shoot, where'd they go?" Oshawott says, scanning the forest. "I lost track of them."
"I think I heard their footsteps stop." Charmander says. "They must be hiding somewhere nearby."
Thorn stays frozen as the team checks under bushes and around trees. Their heart rate skyrockets when Oshawott walks past and checks the bush right next to them, but the team eventually concludes that Thorn must have gotten away.
As the footsteps grow quieter, Thorn only partly relaxes, making sure to stay quiet. If those two had any sort of good intentions, they would've called out to Thorn, and explained the situation. Did Compass actually-
That's not important right now. Thorn is being chased, and they need to escape. They need to get far away from here, and far away from town.
Thorn gathers berries from a bush. Sticking to forested areas gives them good food, and plenty of hiding places, but that's exactly where their pursuers will expect them to be. Mountains or caves would be good hiding places, and they wouldn't have as many grass- and water-type wild pokemon to fight off. Caves would be especially well-hidden, but there's no food there. It's...
Why is this so normal? Thorn's lived safely in Pokemon Square with a profitable job ever since they can remember. Yet somehow, having people chasing them down, planning out how to get food, all this running and hiding... it's-
"Stop right there, Thorn the Cubone!"
Thorn whips around to find that Charmander and Oshawott snuck up on them, cornering them against the thick brush. If they tried to escape, the bushes would slow them down, and they're too close to hide.
"By the authority of Team Arrow, you are under arrest!" Charmander says. "Surrender, and we won't be forced to harm you!"
"A-arrested for what crime?! I've done nothing wrong!"
"As the human from the legend, you are under arrest for upsetting the world's balance!"
No. Please no. "What... What evidence do you have of that?!" Please, please no.
"Testimony from Compass the Cyndaquil."
Compass... But... they said Thorn could trust them. They jumped in front of a water gun for Thorn! They gave Thorn food, and housing! Compass and Thorn fought together, they protected each other, they were partners! Thorn TRUSTED them! So why did... How could they...
Thorn breaks into a sprint and dashes past Charmander, but a flame strikes their ankle, and they fall. They roll onto their back to see Oshawott leaping toward them, scalchop in hand. Thorn grabs Oshawott's wrists as they land, stopping the blow before rolling over to get on top of them and landing a headbutt with their bone helmet.
Thorn picks up their club and turns to Charmander, who strikes them with an ember to the chest. Thorn flinches, but runs forward, dodging another ember and bashing Charmander on the head, stunning them. They shove Charmander to the ground and-
A sharp pain strikes Thorn's back. Thorn grits their teeth, steps back, and drives their elbow behind them, knocking the wind of of Oshawott. They whip around, using the momentum to smash their club into Oshawott's head, knocking them down. They turn to see Charmander standing up again, and they step forward with another bash that knocks Charmander out.
Thorn gasps for breath, watching the enemies to see if they get up. Oshawott only groans weakly, and Charmander is silent. "Leave me alone!" Thorn shouts, and takes off sprinting.
Thorn runs. They run, and run, and run, their lungs begging them to stop. They keep running, away and away, until their legs finally give out, and they crawl into a bush. They fill their aching lungs, rest their overworked legs...
And cry. They trusted Compass. How could their partner betray them like that? Did all those weeks together, all those battles and mission, did it all mean nothing once their past was revealed? What kind of asshole betrays their partner!?! Why did... why did Thorn think they could trust anyone..? Stupid, god damn, idiot...
A muffled voice calls out to Thorn. Gardevoir. They can barely hear it, but they cover their ears anyway. "No! Stop! I don't want this! I don't want my past back! I don't want to die! Just leave me alone and GO AWAY-"
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!"
Thorn snaps awake as a chain around their memories breaks. That was a scream... Their partner's scream. The scream their partner made... when Thorn left her... When they abandoned Gardevoir... When they betrayed Rose. What kind of selfish, uncaring, worthless excuse for a person abandons their partner... How could they...
Thorn feels an otherworldly presence, guiding them. They get up and wipe away their tears. They know what needs to be done.

That's surprisingly hard to say. There were a bunch of things I liked, but not really anything that stuck out too much.
I will say that thorn's thought process in this chapter is written very well, easily putting you in the character's perspective, as well as showing what I think to be a reasonable chain of thoughts for this situation.
I'll also say that the brief fight scene was a good addition, bringing some intensity into what would otherwise be a more uneventful chapter. (Not that that would be a bad thing necessarily, but this way it spices things up a little.) It also went on for the perfect amount of time, being very short without coming off as rushed.
And of course the cliffhanger at the end was amazing, leaving a lot of room for questions and speculation without trying too hard.
