So…I don’t really think I need to explain this picture. By now I’m sure everyone knows what’s going on. And I’d hope that most of us would agree that what’s being done is 100% wrong.

But, for those who don’t know, on February 24th, 2022, the Russian Federation, under the guidance of Vladimir Putin, launched a full scale invasion of Ukraine. This is the single largest war in Europe since WWII, to the point where I won’t share casualty and damage reports, knowing that they will be out of date the moment the picture is published.

This war is absolutely unjustified, reducing a modernizing country, one that’s personally been on my radar, to ruin. I support the Ukrainian population in their struggle against the typically “mighty” Russian military, and I hope that this war, and any that may follow it, come to a quick resolution.
I have multiple friends in Ukraine, including a long time high school friend in Kyiv. I wish nothing but the best for all of them, and I hope to be able to see them alive and in person in the future. Let it be known though: I do not hate Russia, nor do I hate the Russian people. Just like with Ukraine, I have multiple friends in Russia and of Russian descent. The issue here is President Putin and the Russian Oligarchs, and no one else.
