This as yet unnamed crossbreed Pichu's birth came as a surprise to both his parents and their trainer. You see, the thing about domesticated Pikachu is that they normally have litters, usually consisting of 2 to 4 kits. Since she and Wesley ended up conceiving only one, Tosca barely put on any weight. She didn't even know she was pregnant until she woke up in the middle of the night with bad stomach pains and later ended up giving birth to a single baby Pichu. She and Wesley were understandably shocked by what had just happened, but they both quickly grew to love their new little boy. Their trainer Cole was especially surprised when he woke up later that morning to find Tosca tending to an hours old baby Pichu. And while this little Pichu's birth was unexpected, he was quickly accepted by the rest of Cole's Pokemon as the newest member of their family.
