So the Jackal/Drake was not the first concept of Delwyn Flurry. He started as a drawing from inspiration. Zora's from Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time and jackals which I just love the ears xp. This wasn't what I sent the artist who did draw Delwyn. It was another image way after these sketches for design but the idea of Gils and fins on the fore-arms just seemed so cool to me. As my love for the series faded I found myself questioning the zora part of him and with Pathfinder taking more of my life. I found I connected with the metallic and chromatic dragons more and more.
