Akulau has always been a man to keep his stored up electricity in for too long before it causes problems. To avoid this, he's spent some odd years developing a specially made gauntlet that can store more than his built up electricity over time. He typically uses it as a back up generator of some sort if his apartment home has a power outage, but there are times where he has too much stored up at once. We get moments like this where his excess energy shoots out of his gauntlet and arcs to anywhere in the fired path. In this case, the skies above! Although, he may need an umbrella soon as that's about to cause an unexpected shower to come pouring down.
