Just coming into production, Cruiser Motors first consumer/industry grav vehicles.
Sonata - A PITA to design using MegaTraveller rules - Normally cheap grav vehicles use fuel cells - which don't come into play until TL10, one tech level -after- grav modules are available. Fusion's there, but minimum size is 10kl, which also happens to cost 2 million credits at that volume, and produces a massive excess of energy you can't even use up on anything like a conventional car (attack or grav tanks justify the cost and energy usage). That left me with ... batteries. Which weigh a boatload for a little bit of juice that this sucker drains out in just a couple hours and change. Still, its fast enough you can fly over 1,270 miles on a charge - Not bad for an electric -flying- vehicle, but still dicey - most people expect much more -time- in their vehicles between refueling/recharging, regardless of speed. At 71k, its not 'cheap' for an average working family, but maybe worth it for a well off rancher on Neu Samara...
Maybe not - they use old Cesna style prop planes for crop dusting, or even ultra-lights for inspecting the fences, following the herds, etc. Still, there's enough wealthy individuals on NS to warrant the luxury of a silent city-flier, new traffic laws and training permitting.
Sky Barzha - Here's Cruiser's real moneymaker. Military, industrial, and civic interests all have uses for a hauler that doesn't need roads, bridges, practically runs on water (Its Mr Fusion!), is relatively quiet travelling through/over residential areas, and only needs refueling every 5 days if driven around the clock. Though only requiring a crew of one, the investment cost and the operating efficiencies are such that a backup driver is often carried. A single bunk allows some truckers to just land in an open field in the middle of nowhere, and sleep on their offshifts. The sealed environment allows for high altitude flight over freezing mountain passes as well as reliable heat protection when flying over the blazing regions of Neu Samaran outback.
The open topped version is particularly valued by Neu Samara's logging industry, city planners and transportation engineers and Neu Samara's Army Corps of Engineers.
Corinthian Executive - the first grav vehicle marketed toward CEO's, merchant princes, and the few super wealthy (nobility in all but actual title) of Neu Samara. As with the Sky Barzha, only about half the output of the fusion engine is actually used, minimum size restrictions requiring a minimum size of 10kl. Roomy seats, and enough cargo space to customize say, a *wet bar, and personal entertainment systems, with enough room left over for some suitcases, brief cases, a stowaway, weapons, what have you.
*Note: Interior grav plates and inertial compensators don't kick in until TL10 - so be careful with the acceleration on board this baby - your passengers will feel every movement, and ever G of acceleration. A frail 120lb 80 year old multi-millionaire heiress will feel an extra 75 pounds of weight if you crank it up to 11 for very long (1.62Gees acceleration)

Yeah, though tis for my MegaTraveller game (and uses its ship/vehicle construction rules), drawings, fluff, technical stats, etc, all mine. The player characters' homeworld in the current game is ramping up its technology (buying standard industrial formats from higher tech worlds, etc.) and gradually going from internal combustion ground vehicles to early antigrav for personal, super wealthy personal transport.
The military's been using Magnetoplasmadynamic (MPD) drives, cryo and fusion rockets until just recently (not counting all the old, much higher tech gear that's falling apart after generations of use). The colony's developing around the players and their adventures, and going through an industrial and technological revolution, and will probably experience some growing pains as a result.

*whispers* Just wait, five, six years tops, and the fuel cell technology will come in - Be able to make 4 seaters that weigh less, and can go 'round the globe a few times before needing refuelling - for a third of the pricetag on that baby. TL10 is when grav gets uber-affordable - ie. college kids having one, not just the business exec.
But for a lotta worlds, 9 is their highest tech level, plateauing there. Neu Samara's piggybacking on pre-existing Terran technology to play 'catchup' relatively quickly. Ultra fast infrastructure development and R&D, massive government contracts with any corporation willing to undergo massive internal changes - They're averaging a TL every 5-7 years (starting at TL 7 - roughly 1980's tech) - but at considerable social cost
(A charismatic dictator running the whole show, Lord Vetinari (crossed with a touch of Harry Seldon) style, slightly higher taxes planetwide - the Czech colonies don't really like that, anti-corruption crackdowns in all levels of governments - the ex-oligarchs and heirs to large estates and corporate interests -really- don't like that. Slush funds to parts of the ground army are being diverted into science and interstellar development - the old guard of the Army -really- doesn't like that. Things are going like gangbusters - but the Executive Director expects an attempted coup within the next decade. Not only that, but he's actually counting on one - to probably counterplay with popular opinion when and if its foiled.)
